The third studio album from Bogota Colombia's La Severa Matacera's featuring 12 fresh and unique tracks and recovered lost recordings exploring an original blend of traditional Afro-Colombian music, ska, reggae, dub, groovy funk and rock, taking a look at the international immigrant experience, all filtered through the band's characterisic satirical tone.
Full of their experiences inside and outside Colombia, V.I,S.A. is the product of three long years of hard work crammed between international tours. The album demonstrates the musical maturity acquired over 15 years of artistic life in Colombia and many gigs in the US, Mexico, Ecuador and Canada showcasing a full, tight sound, deep rhythms and strong social content. The video for their first single V.I.S.A., a satire of the American dream, was shot in Los Angeles.
